Abstract:

Sorensen gave the first proof of the existence of connected non locally connected Julia set of quadratic polynomials. These are Julia set of some infinitely renormalisable polynomials (more precisely from satellite renormalisations). In order to study such dynamical systems it is relevant to try and find under which assumptions the Julia set of an such an infinitely renormalisable polynomial is not locally connected. Genadi Levin gave such a condition using rotations numbers. I will explain how I understand the work of Levin.
